Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui Sir, Today on 14th August Biotech students of Maulana Azad College visited the Government Institute of Science, Chh. Sambhajinagar for an inspiring lecture by Prof. Mahendra Shirsat Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology. They explored Microbiology & Biotechnology departments, witnessed advanced research instruments, and engaged in interactive sessions with senior faculties. This enriching visit was successfully organized through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Reshma Jaweria, Head of the Department. Cleanliness Drive by Dept. of Commerce & Management Science On 11th August 2025, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, the Department organized a cleanliness drive with active participation from B.Com First Year students. The initiative involved cleaning the campus surroundings, removing weeds, preparing soil for plantation, and proper disposal of waste. Such drives foster environmental awareness and community engagement among students. The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Mustansir Ezzi. Report on “Reel Talk – Mind Matters” Competition and Guest Lecture The Department of Psychology, Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science & Commerce (Dr. Rafiq Zakaria Campus), organized “Reel Talk – Mind Matters”, a reel-making competition along with a Guest Lecture on Mental Health Awareness Among Students, on Monday, 11th August 2025, in the College Seminar Hall. The chief guest and keynote speaker for the program was Dr. A. A. Ashtaputre, Professor & Head, Department of Psychology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. She delivered an inspiring lecture on the importance of mental health, stress management, and strategies for emotional well-being. The Reel Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. (Total 65 Reel) The Top 5 winners were: 1️⃣ Sayyed Sakina – 1st Prize 2️⃣ Ansari Sadiya – 2nd Prize 3️⃣ Saniya Khan – 3rd Prize 4️⃣ Shaikh Riza – 4th Place 5️⃣ Payal Shukla – 5th Place The reels were judged by: 1. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmad Farooqui, Vice Principal Dr. Aref Pathan and Mr. Shaikh Abbas sir, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Aditi Bhattacharya , Afroz mam, Mr. Shujat sir Toafiq sir with the support of faculty members and . The program was coordinated by Dr. Azhar Patel and Mrs. Sabeeya Pathan who also introduced the speaker and moderated the proceedings. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the guest speaker, judges, organizing committee, and participants for their valuable contributions. The initiative successfully promoted awareness, creativity, and meaningful dialogue on mental health.

The NSS Unit of Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Aurangabad organized a one-day orientation program for NSS volunteers. The event featured Chief Guest Dr. Satish Dandge, Professor of Public Administration at Dr. B.A.M.U. Aurangabad, who delivered a lecture on the role of NSS and youth. Key highlights of the program - 106 NSS volunteers attended the programme. - A presidential address by Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui sir - Distribution of Run Red Ribbon Marathon Rally Certificate which was organised by MSACS, Mumbai to the NSS volunteers The program aimed to introduce volunteers to the NSS philosophy, promote community service, and foster leadership skills among the youth.

A tree plantation drive was conducted at the NSS-adopted village Rasoolpura, where 45 saplings were planted in the Kabrastan premises. Master Faizan, a Class V student of Zilla Parishad Marathi Medium School, who secured 82% in the Scholarship Exam, was felicitated and gifted a school bag, while notebooks and chocolates were distributed to other school children with the. hands of Principal Dr.Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui Sir and Mr.Mysa Pathan ( Up Sarpanch, Rasulpura Village) NSS Program Officer Dr. J.D.
