The Department of Biotechnology celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a Quiz Competition to promote scientific knowledge and awareness among students.The theme of this year’s quiz was “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for VIKSIT BHARAT” aimed at fostering interest in the field of biotechnology and its global impact. The quiz competition saw active participation of 52 students. The quiz was open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, creating an engaging mix of knowledge and skills among participants. The winners were awarded first, second and third prizes by the hands of Head of the Department of Biotechnology Dr.Reshma Jaweria,on this occasion all the teaching and non teaching staff were present in the department.

Psychological Testing Camp Held at Maulana Azad College Aurangabad, 24th February 2025 – The Department of Psychology at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized a successful Psychological Testing Camp on Monday. The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members and aimed to give students hands-on experience with psychological testing, enhancing their practical knowledge and understanding of key psychological theories and assessments. The camp was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmad Farooqui in the presence of Vice Principal Dr. Arif Pathan, Dr. Aditya Bhattacharya, Dr. Musak Razzaq, and Dr. Umesh Khedkar. Their presence added to the significance of the event, underscoring the college’s commitment to providing a holistic education experience. The camp was coordinated by Dr. Shaikh Ajhar Patel and Mrs. Pathan Sabeeya, who ensured its smooth execution and guided students throughout the event. The students conducted a wide range of psychological evaluations, including IQ tests, personality assessments, and resilience evaluations. These practical applications allowed students to further develop their skills while contributing to their academic growth.

The Department of Commerce & Management Science organized an industrial visit to Karamayogi Ankushrao Tope Samarth Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. on February 15, 2025. Seventy-five students and faculty from B.Com, BBA, and M.Com attended the visit, gaining practical insights into the sugar manufacturing process, including crushing, extraction, purification, crystallization, and the role of automation and ERP software. The tour highlighted modern automated machinery, shift management, and ERP systems for production and supply chain monitoring. An interactive session followed, where students actively engaged with their questions. The visit was made possible through the continuous guidance of the Principal and the efforts of faculty, staff, and Mr. Nusrat Pathan, an alumnus of the department.

Maulana Azad College Excels at Infosys Pune's Student Development Program (SDP-2025) Under the visionary guidance of Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, the Department of BCA-BCS at Maulana Azad College successfully participated in the prestigious 1-Day Student Development Program (SDP-2025) at Infosys Pune on February 22, 2025. This esteemed event witnessed the participation of around 700 students from across Maharashtra, with only 15 colleges selected for the SDP. We take immense pride in being the sole representative from the Marathwada Region, with 40 students and 5 faculty members attending the program. The SDP encompassed an in-depth study of Infosys, followed by an interactive session with senior managers. The students received valuable guidance on placement opportunities within Infosys and were assured of future assistance in securing placements. The success of this visit was made possible under the diligent monitoring of Dr. Syed Abeduddin (HOD) and the tireless efforts of Mrs. Ruheena Quadri, Mr. Khan Naim, Mr. Khan Ansar, and Mr. Irfan Khan.
