We are immensely proud to announce the wonderful performance of our First Year Microbiology students at the National Micrbiolympiad! Competing against 70 colleges nationwide in the first round, our team ( Ms.Ayesha Zareen,Ms.Amena Rida, Ms.Naushaba Ayman) secured an impressive 7th position. The second round, held at the prestigious Government Institute of Science, Aurangabad, saw our team rise to the challenge once again. Against the top most qualifying teams from across India, our students achieved a commendable 6th place! This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and intellectual curiosity of our budding microbiologists. Their diligent attendance at extra lectures and extensive study efforts have yielded good results. The Department of Microbiology extends its heartfelt congratulations to our students for their exceptional performance at the national level. We express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed Principal, Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui Sir, for his unwavering guidance, support, and encouragement, which have been instrumental in fostering the development of the students and staff of the college. The Department of Zoology, Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Aurangabad, organized the State Level Bio-genius Competition 2024-25 in collaboration with the Zoological Society and Govt. Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati. M.S. Dated 5 March 2025. On this occasion, the Course Co-ordinator, Prof. Ramesh Chondekar, (Resource Person) Dr.B.A.M.U.Ch.CN. graced the event with his presence. Principal, Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, delivered the presidential address and extended his unwavering support and encouragement throughout the event. Prof. Nayab Ansari shared her expertise and provided a detailed explanation of the answer keys for the Bio-Genius competition. A total of 98 participants appeared for the Biogenius Competition from Dr.B.AM.U., S.B.Science College, Govt.College of Arts & Science, Sir Sayyad College, Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya etc. The Organizing Team, comprising Co-ordinator of the event Prof. J.D. Shaikh, Head of the Department of Zoologyand Dr. Tarannum, who was In-charge of the event,worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the event. Prize Distribution Program by Women Development Cell , Maulana Azad College of Arts Science and Commerce on International Women’s Day The Women Development Cell (WDC), under the guidance of Principal Dr. Mazahr Ahmed Farooqui, organized a prize distribution program to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event recognized winners of various competitions, including painting, mehendi, drawing, bead jewelry making, cooking, and calligraphy. The program was presided over by Principal Dr. Mazahr Ahmed Farooqui, with Vice Principal Dr. Afir Pathan, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Aditi Bhattacharya, and P.G. Incharge Prof. Prashant Netankar as esteemed guests. In his presidential address, Dr. Farooqui appreciated the efforts of WDC and extended his best wishes on the occasion. The event was smoothly conducted by Dr. Ayesha Sultana, while Dr. Samreen Farooqui announced the prizes. WDC Incharge Dr. Syed Ummul Khair Asema delivered the vote of thanks. The Department of Biotechnology celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a Quiz Competition to promote scientific knowledge and awareness among students.The theme of this year’s quiz was “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for VIKSIT BHARAT” aimed at fostering interest in the field of biotechnology and its global impact. The quiz competition saw active participation of 52 students. The quiz was open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, creating an engaging mix of knowledge and skills among participants. Psychological Testing Camp Held at Maulana Azad College Aurangabad, 24th February 2025 – The Department of Psychology at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized a successful Psychological Testing Camp on Monday. The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members and aimed to give students hands-on experience with psychological testing, enhancing their practical knowledge and understanding of key psychological theories and assessments. The camp was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmad Farooqui in the presence of Vice Principal Dr. Arif Pathan, Dr. Aditya Bhattacharya, Dr. Musak Razzaq, and Dr. Umesh Khedkar. Their presence added to the significance of the event, underscoring the college’s commitment to providing a holistic education experience. The Department of Commerce & Management Science organized an industrial visit to Karamayogi Ankushrao Tope Samarth Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. on February 15, 2025. Seventy-five students and faculty from B.Com, BBA, and M.Com attended the visit, gaining practical insights into the sugar manufacturing process, including crushing, extraction, purification, crystallization, and the role of automation and ERP software. The tour highlighted modern automated machinery, shift management, and ERP systems for production and supply chain monitoring. An interactive session followed, where students actively engaged with their questions. The visit was made possible through the continuous guidance of the Principal and the efforts of faculty, staff, and Mr. Nusrat Pathan, an alumnus of the department.

Maulana Azad College Excels at Infosys Pune's Student Development Program (SDP-2025) Under the visionary guidance of Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, the Department of BCA-BCS at Maulana Azad College successfully participated in the prestigious 1-Day Student Development Program (SDP-2025) at Infosys Pune on February 22, 2025. This esteemed event witnessed the participation of around 700 students from across Maharashtra, with only 15 colleges selected for the SDP. We take immense pride in being the sole representative from the Marathwada Region, with 40 students and 5 faculty members attending the program. The SDP encompassed an in-depth study of Infosys, followed by an interactive session with senior managers. The students received valuable guidance on placement opportunities within Infosys and were assured of future assistance in securing placements. The success of this visit was made possible under the diligent monitoring of Dr. Syed Abeduddin (HOD) and the tireless efforts of Mrs. Ruheena Quadri, Mr. Khan Naim, Mr. Khan Ansar, and Mr. Irfan Khan.
