Report on “Reel Talk – Mind Matters” Competition and Guest Lecture The Department of Psychology, Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science & Commerce (Dr. Rafiq Zakaria Campus), organized “Reel Talk – Mind Matters”, a reel-making competition along with a Guest Lecture on Mental Health Awareness Among Students, on Monday, 11th August 2025, in the College Seminar Hall. The chief guest and keynote speaker for the program was Dr. A. A. Ashtaputre, Professor & Head, Department of Psychology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. She delivered an inspiring lecture on the importance of mental health, stress management, and strategies for emotional well-being. The Reel Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. (Total 65 Reel) The Top 5 winners were: 1️⃣ Sayyed Sakina – 1st Prize 2️⃣ Ansari Sadiya – 2nd Prize 3️⃣ Saniya Khan – 3rd Prize 4️⃣ Shaikh Riza – 4th Place 5️⃣ Payal Shukla – 5th Place The reels were judged by: 1. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmad Farooqui, Vice Principal Dr. Aref Pathan and Mr. Shaikh Abbas sir, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Aditi Bhattacharya , Afroz mam, Mr. Shujat sir Toafiq sir with the support of faculty members and . The program was coordinated by Dr. Azhar Patel and Mrs. Sabeeya Pathan who also introduced the speaker and moderated the proceedings. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the guest speaker, judges, organizing committee, and participants for their valuable contributions. The initiative successfully promoted awareness, creativity, and meaningful dialogue on mental health.
