The Department of Biotechnology, Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Aurangabad, in association with the Microbiologists’ Society of India, organised a Model Presentation Competition under the Bio-Innovative Club on the occasion of International Microorganisms Day on 22 September 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in Seminar Hall-I. The theme of the competition was “Biotechnology from Lab to Life.” The programme was held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Maqdoom Farooqui sir. Dr. Jayshree Bukhtar, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, Government College of Arts and Science, Aurangabad, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Judge and welcomed the B.Sc. Biotechnology FY students. Around 40 students enthusiastically presented innovative models showcasing their creativity, scientific understanding, and the real-life applications of biotechnology. Students from other departments also visited and appreciated the models. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Reshma Jaweria, HOD & Convener, with the support of Dr. Mehvish Fatima, Organising Secretary. The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the First, Second, and Third prizes were presented by the Chief Guest. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Saniya Shaikh. Teaching and non-teaching staff members were present and extended their support for the successful conduct of the programme.
