Department of Zoology & Salim Ali Club Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commerce Aurangabad celebrated World's Sparrow day ( 20 March 2024) in collaboration with Environmental Research Foundation and Education Academy (ERFEA) The aim of this day is to promote awareness about the conservation and protection of sparrow,whose number falling globally. Dr. Dilip Yardi (Ornithologist) and Mr. Kunal Vibhandik and Prof.V.R.More; delivered lecture on Various aspects of Conservation of House sparrow. Principal, Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui sir delivered the presidential address.Dr J.D Shaikh gave the program highlights, Dr Tarannum Shaikh conducted the program, Dr. Heena kausar proposed vote of thank. Inauguration of "Parrot Corner" was done with the hands of Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui, Dr. Dilip Yardi, and Mr. Kunal Vibhandik. Dr.Syed Atheruddin Quadri, Dr. Ashfaque khan and Amreen Khan were present. Dr Dilip Yardi appreciated the work of Salim Ali club volunteers and Department of Zoology and they offered momento and appreciation certificates to 25 student of B.Sc 1st 2nd and 3rd year.Mr. Sandip Kulkarni & Mr.Sandip Bhale( Exotherm Chemtest Pvt.Ltd.) donated eight nest.
