Under the guidance of Principal Dr.Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui and Head of Department Prof. Arif Pathan, Department of Chemistry(UG+PG) Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commerce has organized one day Industrial visit to K.A.T Samarth Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd., Ankush Nagar, Taluka Ambad, District Jalna on 10th Feb 2024. Students witnessed sugar manufacturing from raw sugarcane to the refined sugar in different units. They also visited electricity production and alcohol distillery units.Total beneficiaries were 43 students and 8 teachers.

Department of Biotechnology under the guidance of Principal Dr.Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui has organized one day Industrial visit to Ishved Biotech Pvt. Ltd., Sindkhed Raja, Dist. Buldhana on 8th Feb 2024. Ishved Biotech is one of the largest plant tissue culture unit of international standards in Maharashtra engaged in mass production of tissue culture plants belonging to horticulture, Floriculture, Ornamentals, Forest/Timber and Medicinal plants with annual production capacity of 30 Million saplings. The industry being handled by 300+ experienced ladies staff. Ishved Biotech PTC unit is certified by Dept of Biotechnology (DBT) Govt. Of India for quality production of tissue culture planting material with world class genetics. Students visited Plant tissue culture lab starting from callus formation to hardening process in poly houses, followed by doubt clearing session engaged by the GM of company Ms. Dhanshree Mungekar.The college appreciation letters and vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Amena Farooqui. Students also visited Lonar Lake and collected water samples. In this visit HOD. Dr.Reshma Jaweria ,all the teaching staff of Biotech department and 45 students of UG and PG were present.

Principal Dr.Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui felicitating ex-Cadet and alumnus of Dept.of Commerce & Mgt.Science, Maulana Azad College Aurangabad, Mr.Mohiuddin Farooqui for being awarded as ' Eagle Eye' by Telengana State Police. He played a significant role in offloading 22 passengers who were travelling to Iraq to join Illegal Organisation. Currently he is working as Profiler with Interglobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo Airlines) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. He has represented the college at Republic Day Parade in 2017.

The Commerce and Management Association of Maulana Azad College of Arts Science and Commerce Aurangabad organised a One Day Workshop on GST with Tally in collaboration with Taxblock Ltd, Pune on 6th February 2024. CA Ganesh Jagtap, the resource person provided the student participants with detailed insights into the practical implications of GST. The process of filing GST returns was demonstrated for the students. Speaking at the occassion, Dr.Mazahar Farooqui, Principal advised the students to attend such skill based workshops to mitigate the challenge of unemployability.
